A brand new practice facility fully installed by Cricket Surfaces.
This synthetic surface was installed for Southwell CC during the start of the Cricket season. As a result, we had to take extra precations during the installation to protect the integrity of the clubs grounds.
We used boards and smaller machinery in order to minimise any disruption to the playing grounds. Furthermore, this ensured the land was left fit for use instantly after the installation was completed.
Consequently, because we took extra special care of the grounds, this meant there was hardly any disruption to the clubs training.
The Cricket system was fitted to meet current Notts Sport designs & specifications. The installation included 2 no. 11 meter Envelope System batting ends & 2 no. 8 metre Notts Sport bowling ends.
The new facility was completed with Notts Grass tufted cricket turf.
The Cricket cage and netting system was fully tailored to the clubs requirements. The selected choice included a low maintenance surround material making the area easier for the club to keep looking new.
Playing the Perfect game
The Cricket envelope systems we create are installed with a view to mirroring natural conditions to the best of their ability.
When the surface is wet, such as early season, it will create a slower and lower play. As it dries out, it will become a quicker pitch with more bounce, much like we get through the cricket season.
With this project we were able to show our ability to cope with a larger than standard project. We moved in the region of 250 tonnes of soil, along with installing a root break and mole trench.
All the works were completed on time and within budget and as with all our works, come complete with a standard 10 year warranty.
The video below (See link) shows a brief fly through of the system using our drone.
